Learn Spanish...

The full Spanish experience can only be obtained by immersing yourself in the culture, tradition and the day to day of life in Spain. This can only be done by starting to learn the language, but the benefits are unbelievable.

You will be surprised how easy the language is to pick up and how similar some of the words are to your native tongue.

There are hundreds of books, videos, websites, cd's & dvd's all promising to teach you Spanish in one way or the other.Some are very good and some are shall we say ...... less so!

The best and most enjoyable way of learning Spanish is in a group with other like minded people. You can practice together, learn from each others mistakes and laugh at your experiences trying your new found knowledge on the locals ( who are used to interpreting "Spanglish").

There are no longer free Spanish classes for residents (as funding has not been available in the last couple of years) but there are various teachers in the village who organize courses/classes at different levels (beginners, intermediate and advanced), many of which start now in September. Look out for posters advertising these, ask your friends/neighbours or enquire in the Town Hall.
